Hard Surface Floor Care:
- Improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) by vacuuming all hard surface floors to remove damaging soil, spores and bacteria. Brooms and dust mops will only move this dirt around to re-settle back onto cleaned surfaces.
- Reduce water and chemical usage by cleaning with micro-fiber cleaning technology. Water and chemical use can be reduced by at least 50%. Floors can also be opened for use at least 25% quicker.
- Eliminate heavy metals like zinc in waste water by switching to non-zinc floor finish technology. Non-zinc technology has improved greatly and now is nearly as durable as a zinc-laden floor care product.
- Consolidated Cleaning uses floor care and hand pads made from recycled plastic reducing the amount of slow-to-degrade materials that go into landfills.
Carpet Care:
- We capture and contain more dust and improve IAQ by using micro-filter paper bags in our upright vacuums and HEPA filters on our back-pack vacuums. We reduce airborne dust by almost 500/0 compared to our competition.
- We only use CRI approved carpet extractors and chemicals which reduce airborne contaminants and improve IAQ.
- Unless requested to do so, we do not bonnet clean carpets. Bonnet cleaning has been proven to be a poor cleaning method and damages carpet fibers leading to premature carpet replacement.
Cleaning Techniques:
- In addition to carpets and hard surface flooring, we use soft bristle brush tools to vacuum ALL vertical and horizontal surfaces thereby reducing airborne dust and the need for re-cleaning.
- We use micro-fiber or treated dusting cloths which hold dust better than a common rag or dusting tool. Chemical and water usage is also greatly reduced.
- Unless necessary, we use only Green Seal approved products for general cleaning and disinfecting. Green Seal chemicals reduce airborne particulates, eliminate the use of Prop 65 chemicals and/or petroleum-based components without sacrificing cleaning efficiency.
- We can accomplish most cleaning tasks in a building with as few as one or two cleaning chemicals which reduces the impact of multiple chemicals on our employees as well as other workers at a project. Chemical reduction also minimizes waste and total cost and usage of chemical products.
